ProtoBag Studio is a European bag studio with an office in Munich. Our European studio serves as the international communication and project coordination point. Sample development and batch production happen at our China-side team. We work with independent designers, indie founders, and growing brands across European design hubs (Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, London, Paris, Milan), as well as the rest of Europe and North America.
A tech pack is not always required to start. The most practical starting points are a prepared tech pack, a reference bag, product photos with dimensions, or an existing sample. We do not produce full tech packs as a standard service. We can review existing documentation.
Custom bag sampling typically takes about three to four weeks for sample development in China. It takes about two weeks for shipping to Munich and internal review. It takes three to four working days for forwarding the sample to the client.
The total timeline can vary. It depends on product complexity, custom hardware lead times, revision rounds, and international shipping conditions. Recommended MOQ for batch production is from approximately 400 pieces per style.
