To contact ProtoBag Studio for a custom bag sampling or OEM production inquiry, send your project details. Email team@protobagstudio.com. Or use the contact form on this page. Our Munich team responds in English, German, or Chinese during CET / CEST business hours.
The more project context you share up front, the faster we can return something useful instead of a generic reply. The most helpful inputs are any existing tech pack, a reference bag, product photos with dimensions, or an existing sample — anything that shows structure and scale. Also useful: your estimated quantity, target budget range, material preference, and the specific features you want to add or improve. You do not need all of this to make contact, but a one-line "I want to make a bag" without size, structure, material, reference, or quantity is harder to quote and slower to move forward.
If your project is at an early stage, the first reply will not be a quote — it will be three to five specific feasibility questions about structure, materials, hardware, intended use, and target quantity. This is deliberate. A number given before those answers exist is wrong in both directions and leads to extra sample revisions. The first reply covers feasibility notes, suggested next steps, and exactly where we need more information. This consultation-first step is free and is the single biggest reason projects reach an approved sample in two prototype rounds instead of five.
Our Munich liaison office responds in English, German, or Chinese during CET / CEST business hours. You can reach us by email at team@protobagstudio.com or through the contact form on this page. There is no broker or agent layer — the person who answers your feasibility questions is the person who coordinates the build in our China-side production team.
All submitted designs, files, and project details are treated as confidential. NDA arrangements are available before any sensitive document is shared, so an unproven idea can be discussed without exposure. For specialised or first-of-its-kind products, this is standard, not exceptional.
Once the feasibility questions are answered, the project moves into the eight-step sampling and production process: it begins with a sampling quote (sampling MOQ is one piece) and ends with a finished sample delivered to you plus a written production-readiness report, after which we discuss batch pricing and minimum order quantities of roughly 200–400 pieces per style. Typical timeline from confirmation to a sample in hand is six to eight weeks.
